Redeye's free network meetings are your chance to find out more about Redeye, to meet other photographers over a drink, and to see a presentation of work.

Our first network meeting of 2011 is about photographers' books - looking at the range of ways you can publish and sell your own work in book form.

Doors open at 18:30 for networking and the talk will start at 19:00.

The main speaker is Andy Sewell, whose project The Heath has attracted attention even before he publishes it as a limited-edition book. See below for more information about Andy.

We then open up to a discussion about this area, led by Graeme Vaughan, looking at the dos and don'ts of self-publishing and the range of production and distribution options available.

You are very welcome to bring samples of your own work in book form, and share your own experiences during the discussion. We'll have a display table set up for the evening.

Andy Sewell is a London based photographer. He splits his time between working on extended personal projects and commissions for clients including: The Telegraph Magazine, Financial Times Magazine, The Guardian Weekend Magazine, GQ, The Sunday Times Magazine, Bloomsbury Publishing and Phaidon.

He was selected by Martin Parr as 'a photographer likely to make his mark on the future of photography' for an exhibition at Krakow Photo Month 2010. He is a winner of the Magenta Award 2007 and was selected for inclusion in the book Flash Forward 2009, a review of emerging photographers. His work is in the collections of the V&A Museum and the National Media Museum and has been featured in the British Journal of Photography and Hotshot Magazine.

The Heath project will be published in spring 2011 and exhibited at the Host Gallery, London.

"For the last five years Andy Sewell has been tramping Hampstead Heath with his camera and has accumulated a stunning set of photographs … He now intends to publish these in a beautifully designed and printed book. I urge you to support this emerging talent and pre-order this book before it is acknowledged as a classic contribution to our photographic culture." - Martin Parr, May 2010

The Heath is available as a pre-order special edition of 100. Each subscriber to this edition will be acknowledged in the book.
